Wet things could not have been packaged in paper or cardboard which is why plastic was used. dry things were packaged in paper and cardboard as well as plastic. soon as time passed, only plastic was being used. well, it is still being used. people chose plastic because it was a cheaper option and it kept food fresh for longer. this only caused more garbage and garbage issues. BUT... nothing is impossible and this also can be solved...If we carry containers to shops, less plastic will be used... there are many more ways where this problem can be solved.
